About Standard Grain
We’re a growing commodity brokerage and consulting firm, headquartered in Chicago, IL. Our goal is to provide agricultural operations with the best market information and decision making tools available. Risk is our focus. We help grain and livestock operations manage risk and trade the futures markets in the most efficient and effective way. We work with every customer on a personal level. No two farms have the same operating margins, no two feedlots have the same needs; we operate our business knowing that what’s best for one customer might not be best for the next.
Our offices are in Chicago, the world’s marketplace for agriculture commodities. We spend much of our time, however, travelling the country and meeting our customers. Seminars, meetings, tradeshows, speaking engagements; this is how we stay in tune with the agricultural community in the United States.
Joe Vaclavik is the founder and president of Standard Grain, Inc. He deals directly with all of our customers. Joe spends much of his time on the road, travelling to farms, feedlots and grain elevators for meetings and speaking engagements. Joe provides market commentary for news outlets including: CNBC, Fox Business The Wall Street Journal, US Farm Report, Ag Day, Reuters, Dow Jones, RuralRadio80 (SiriusXM), Bloomberg, Sky News (Australia), KFRM (Kansas), WILL (Illinois), Linder Farm Network (Minnesota) and many more. Mr. Vaclavik is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Agribusiness, Farm, and Financial Management.
